This course will give you the tools to specialize in massage for women’s health!

Learn how to use myofascial release, cupping and energetic techniques to address pelvic floor and reproductive health.  As massage therapist, you can support your female clients with their pelvic floor complaints by using simple external myofascial and massage techniques. In this class, you will learn how to identify and support common pelvic floor conditions as well as learn how to align the uterus. Uterine and abdominal massage are helpful for women at all stages of life and help with a variety of reproductive and digestive issues. In this course you will learn

  • Anatomy of pelvic floor floor structures, abdomen and uterus

  • Palpation skills to identify external pelvic floor and uterine structures

  • Learn the massage techniques to address pelvic organ prolapse, painful intercourse, C-section scars, painful coccyx (coccydynia)

  • Trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique, and strain/counterstrain of pelvic floor and abdominal muscles.

  • Cupping using plastic cups to release adhesions in the abdomen

  • Myofascial release of the uterus and ovarian massage

  • Emotional and somatic holding patterns in the womb and pelvis

  • Deep listening and uterine un-winding

  • Trauma-informed care

This course is open to NDs, LMTs, Midwives and FNPs and can be submitted to your local board for Continuing Education Units.
